Mourning notice [English diary]
People who have lost a loved one during the past year don’t exchange New Year cards. They send ‘mourning notice’ instead in early December.
Many mourning notice also reached me from acquaintances in their lives.
Mrs. K who passed in November was one of the most memorable women I ever met. She was a member of settlers sent from Japan to the northwest China and fled from the battlefield where her family was split during the World War 2.
20 years ago, I used to visit her to write a story of her those days. She was kind enough to talk me dreadful experience in China. When I went home at her house, she gave me a plenty of harvested product.
She made many short form of lyric poetry after survival from China. The top of my list among her lyrics is bellow.
Cosmos and wild chrysanthemum still blossom out in China where my daughter passed away
At this late date, I grow in age and know what is going on in her mind.

Kurashiki [English diary]
I went to Kurashiki for the first time in a long time to experiment of GPS service for a mobile phone yesterday. They can get a text file of an event guide when they reach the place with the use of the positioning system.
It was so warm that I put off my coat. I walk aroud with mobile phones in my hands in the central erea of Kurashiki and became slightly sweaty.
I reached Kurahsiki Historical Quarter. With a willow-lined cannal and white walls and black Japanese style reflected on the surface of the canal which prospered as a distribution center for goods in Edo period.The traditional marchant's house still remains the atmosphere of Edo.
I enjoyed the sight after a long time when I was transffered from Kurashiki office to the HQ. I used to jog every morning when I lived in Kurashiki.
By the way, the experiment didn't go well so I walked 28000 steps in the city, which knocked me up.

Restart my blog [English diary]
I restarted writing my blog. I had kept it for only five months last year but I was too busy to spare much time for writing. Once quit, difficult to restart.
So, I was given a second chance. I wonder how long I keep it this time.
I was at work today to exercise over early election report. So the election of a mayor of a northern city might be an issues-less, that almost of people didn’t take an interest.
